How to make 1Malaysia motto a meaningful slogan
Nowadays, certain of Malaysian citizens sort theirselves according by their races. Thus, it will lacerate the solidarity and create a gap between races. Furthermore, some of our people are only socialize with their own race and they were unlikely to be friendly to the other races. These factors are also adapted into our local economy sectors and many other sectors. To overcome this situation, Malaysians, regardless of race or religion need to think and act as one race, that is the Malaysian race that thinks and acts towards a common goal to build a world that is prosperous, progressive, peaceful and safe thus enabling it to compete with other communities in the world. The main motto is People First; Performance Now. We should have work together to make 1 Malaysia a meaningful slogan regardless of age, sex, races and religion.
As the first Hari Raya under new Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, it should be an occasion for Malaysians regardless of faith, race or political beliefs to give real meaning to his 1Malaysia slogan so that it will not be short-lived and the butt of ridicule, derision and contempt like the slogans of previous premiers. A meaningful slogan, programme and policy of 1Malaysia is one response – but not when 1Malaysia is mere rhetoric contradicted at every turn of reality that it stands for the very opposite of an united, harmonious and competitive Malaysia.
Motto of 1Malaysia
The main motto is People First; Performance Now (Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan).

1Malaysia concept according to YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak explanation: "We stand, we think and act as a Malaysia race.We stand, think and act as Malaysians which means that people of all races and religions must think beyond racial boundaries. They also must act beyond the
boundaries of ethnicity and race.
boundaries of ethnicity and race.
Therefore, the Malays for example, cannot merely think only within the scope of its own race. They also cannot limit their acts to accommodate their own needs. The same is expected of other races. While the sentence “and we take actions based on the needs of all ethnic groups in the country “it is inclined towards the leadership of the country. This paragraph means that the leaders of the country will uphold and fulfill the needs and rights of the people regardless of race or religion in Malaysia.

Concept of 1Malaysia
1 Malaysia is a Malaysian idea introduced by the sixth Malaysian Prime Minister, Najib Tun Razak on 5 April 2009. It is not a new concept. In fact, he states that it is the goal of national unity envisioned by past prime ministers of this nation with a different approach and method according to the current condition of the world. In the other words, he updated the concept which is brought by the previous Malaysian leaders. The Prime Minister also states that the 1 Malaysia concept is the guideline on how to achieve bangsa Malaysia, which translates into English as a “Malaysian race”. 1Malaysia concept according to YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak explanation: "We stand, we think and act as a Malaysia race. And we take actions based on the needs of all ethnic groups in our country.
Integration under 1Malaysia is different from assimilation concept where the identity of various races were wiped out and replaced by a common national identity. Instead 1Malaysia appreciate and respect principas of Federal Constitution and ethnic identity of various races in Malaysia, and consider it as an asset or an advantage that can be proud of. 1Malaysia stressed an acceptance attitude within multi-racial citizens society, where a race/ethnic accept the racial differences of others in order for all to live together by respecting each other as a citizen in one country.
